Kevin West

Kevin West is a journalist, preserver, and cookbook author who comes from Blount County, Tennessee, at the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains. During his 13 years on staff at W Magazine, he lived in New York, Paris, and Los Angeles, where he's still based. Kevin started a blog about preserving, Savingtheseason.com, in 2009 and was certified as a Master Food Preserver the following year. His cookbook Saving the Season: A Cook's Guide to Home Canning, Pickling, and Preserving is published by Knopf. He also makes and sells a retail collection of hand-made preserves, which are available as select stores in L.A. and New York.
